We are just catching our breath after what I could only describe as a hectic and surreal week. 

We were delighted and honoured to be chosen as exclusive food caterer for the U.S  President Biden visit to Ballina. 

For security and operational reasons, the president’s itinerary was not widely publicised so we had to work fast behind the scenes in a short period of time to ensure we were prepared. 

We were tasked with providing food service all day to the very large presidential entourage at the designated media centre, and Mary Robinson Centre. 

The atmosphere was electric and thankfully everything went off without a hitch. 

It was a wonderful experience and opportunity to be selected to cater to such a high profile internationally publicised event. 

The cherry on top was additional separate catering’s for stage rigging crews working in the town on the run up to and following the visit. I can honestly say, nobody left Ballina hungry ????. It was lovely to hear positive feedback tor the food and service. 

To say we were busy was an understatement.

The Presidential visit has been great for our town overall bringing a welcome boost to local community as a whole and our business directly. Ballina was cast onto the world’s stage and will be fondly remembered in history for the welcome it extended to a sitting United States President and Claire’s Kitchen was part of it. 

Of course I couldn’t have done it without my dedicated hard working staff with help from family members who stepped up to the plate and all pitched in. It was all hands on deck for sure. Their efficient can do attitude and teamwork carried us through, so well done and sincere thank you. 

This one will be hard to top !
